Leigh was the change communications lead for the design, development and implementation of the division-wide implementation of new program and project management methodologies. Leigh provided strategic advice in relation stakeholder management and optimal communication techniques to support the adoption of the methodologies across the division. She held three project-based and communications roles, including two clinical ICT roll-outs and the corporate implementation of new project management methodologies.
- Lead strategist in the development of the online presentation and offline promotion of the re-launch of program and project management methodologies for the division (1000+ staff). I worked closely with change managers to ensure the successful implementation and adoption in a notoriously change fatigued environment. The implemented framework became a precedent for intranet communications in the division.
- Coordinated the national BreastScreen Australia forum for over 50 interstate delegates, including venue logistics, conference materials and event management.
Lesleigh performed the role of Communications Officer during the time that I was managing the Methods and Tools team within the Program Management Office of Information Division. During this time, my team delivered a significant change within the organisation by delivering a “one stop shop” for supporting project management in our environment. Lesleigh was able to take a complex and “dry” subject and inject a life and energy which was significant in the overall success of the project. Lesleigh also managed to build out of the box communication tools and media based on my sometimes hairbrained ideas.
I always found Lesleigh easy to work with and eager to provide interesting and attention catching communication material which really drove home the key message.
